The Highlands of Millbrook has generated mountains of positive attention and attraction for the Town of Millbrook, located within the Township of Cavan Monaghan. Monday, June 4, 2018 marked the Official Ground-Breaking Ceremony for the Highlands of Millbrook community. The community’s builders’ and developer, Bromont Homes, Pristine Homes and Cortel Group were joined by Mayor Scott McFadden as well as council members and town staff to kick-start construction of the first large scale development project the area has seen.   Highlands of Millbrook is located near big city amenities in a small charming town just east of the GTA. Potential buyers are attracted to the easy access that the 407 extension will bring in connecting them to Durham Region, the GTA and beyond. “We, as well as our neighbouring municipalities are all feeling the pressure of growth experienced by the Greater Toronto Area as well as with expansions of the 407 which will significantly improve transportation linkages between the Township and the GTA”, said McFadden. The 407 extension is already open to the Enfield Road in Courtice and is slated for completion to Highway 115 by 2020.   “The demand for quality and craftsmanship of new homes in the area, along side skyrocketing GTA home prices has provided a perfect opportunity for us to bring our unmatched quality and affordable home prices to Millbrook”, said Michael Cortellucci, President of Pristine Homes, “Young parents want to raise their families in homes similar to what they grew up in, that is what we can offer them.” The home sizes in Phase 1 of the community range from 35’, 45’ and 52’ 2-car detached homes with Phase 2 offering the same, while introducing an even more affordable townhome product line for first time buyers.

“We are very excited to start construction of Highlands of Millbrook homes”, added Rocco Montemarano, President of Bromont Homes, “It is one thing for people to see what we have designed on paper but quite another to physically see these beautiful homes go up.” A community of this magnitude does not come about overnight. “Years of planning and coordination have gone into this community, we could not be happier to finally see construction of the homes begin, for both the Town of Millbrook, as well as their future residents” added Peter Cortellucci, Vice President of Cortel Group.   The Town of Millbrook has begun early stages of construction on its new community centre which will be located directly across from the community. The growth in the area and the business development is only set to increase over the coming years. Mayor McFadden summed up the community best with his closing sentiments before putting shovel to dirt, “The Highlands of Millbrook offers newcomers to our Community the chance at the beautiful lifestyle that we all take for granted.  It’s a perfect balance between peaceful countryside and access to local amenities and larger city centres within minutes.”   The Presentation Centre and 2 fully furnished model homes are located at 899 Fallis Line, Millbrook and are open for viewing!
